Yes, I am accepting new clients without a waitlist.

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I prefer initial sessions with new patients to be in person as we build a therapeutic relationship.

I also prefer to see children and teens in person.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation via telephone or virtually.

Currently, I accept BCBS of NC, Aetna, Cigna, and Medcost insurance. Depending on your benefit coverage, you will most likely be responsible for a percentage of the session cost after you meet your deductible. If your insurance does not cover the full cost of the contracted rate you will be responsible for the remaining amount.

If you choose to self-pay, sessions rates are as follows: Initial Session/Clinical Assessment (55 min) $195; Individual & Family Therapy (50 min)  $135; Marriage Therapy (50 min) $150 when no diagnosis is present.

I am happy to work with anyone. Most of my clients are between the ages of 11 - 65.

I work well with clients experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, stress, life transitions, career counseling, and family issues.

My experience as a teacher and coach gives me extra insight into adolescent, teen and family issues.

I take a person-centered, non-directive approach. This means that I meet you where you are in your mental health journey and allow you the autonomy you deserve. 

I find many useful techniques in mindfulness-based therapies, reality and acceptance therapies, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. We will work together to set goals and find strategies that help you gain some control, build resilience, and navigate tough times.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate, I see clients the same as a fully-licensed counselor. The associate license is a restricted license that requires the associate to practice under the supervision of a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor (LCMHCS). My supervisor at Brinkley Brown is Donna Robinson, LCMHCS.
